Rashida Jones
Rashida Jones was born in Los Angeles,
California, the younger daughter of producer, media mogul and musician Quincy
Jones and actress Peggy Lipton. She has an older sister, Kidada Jones, as well
as five half-siblings inherited from her father's other relationships. Her
father is African American, and her mother is Ashkenazi Jewish (a descendant
from the emigrants who emigrated to Russia and Latvia). Rashida was born into
Reform Judaism. She was raised in Bel Air, Los Angeles, California. Jones
claimed that her mixed-race parents were not accepted by the public until the
1970s. Jones began her professional acting debut in The Last Don in 1997 an
animated mini-series, which was influenced by Mario Puzo. Rashida was also an
Harvard University graduate in 1997. The school she attended was the Buckley

their father, Quincy Jones, made an appearance , reciting the lyrics of
Shakur's poem "Starry Night" in the intro. The poem was the
inspiration behind the song's title. Rashida's father is African American, and
also has smaller amounts of English, Scottish, and Welsh ancestral family
ancestry (some of his African ancestral ancestors came from the Tikar people
from Cameroon). Rashida's mother, Ashkenazi Jewish (of Russian Jewish heritage
and Latvian Jewish heritage), is Rashida. Her paternal grandparents, who both
came of South Carolina, and Mississippi are the paternal grandparents of her
father. Her maternal grandfather was born in New York, and her maternal
grandmother was born in Dublin, Ireland, of Eastern European Jewish origin. She
has been playing three characters named "Karen" since 2009 on the TV
show that is a cult comedy series Freaks and Geeks (1999), Stella (2006), and
The Office (2005).
