She began her career as an actress, playing small roles and as guest actors in television and stage productions. As the World Changes was the first role she had in her career as an actor. The show was about the lives of lawyers and medical experts. In later years, she was famous as the character Jenny Griffith on the legal drama Suits. The series revolved around Harvey Specter a lawyer and his assistant Mike dealing with legal issues. The show won critical acclaim along with numerous award. Her other works include Blue Bloods, a police drama. The show was met with generally positive ratings.
